The Testing Center in Wye Mills is located in the Learning Resource Center, in room 107. Testing is also available in the Cambridge Multi-Service Center.
The Testing Center offers a variety of tests for both Chesapeake College students and community members.
- Placement Testing (ACCUPLACER):
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests
- Proctoring for other institutions & companies
- Make-up testing for Chesapeake faculty
- Pearson VUE tests, which vary in cost & topic
- The GED (General Education Development) tests
- Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
All test takers must provide a current, government-issued picture ID prior to test administration.
To allow adequate time, you must begin your test at least 1 hour prior to closing . No tests will be handed out later than 1 hour before closing.
For placement tests, you must begin at least 2 hours prior to closing.
Students taking tests for their Chesapeake College classes must arrive at the Testing Center with the full allotted time for their tests available before closing time (for example, if you are allotted two hours for your test, you must arrive at least two hours before closing time. Students with no time limit for their tests must arrive two hours prior to closing time).
Calculators are not permissible during placement testing; the placement testing website provides a calculator function by itself.
For make-up tests submitted by Chesapeake faculty, the Testing Center will follow the rules laid out by the faculty members.
The Learning Resource Center's Disruptive Patrons Policy and the Chesapeake College Code of Conduct Policy applies to all patrons of the Testing Center.

We provide high quality testing and assessment services, in compliance with the nationally recognized National College Testing Association , in order to meet the growing needs of our students, faculty, administration and community.
